                                 CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
    1-1        WHEREAS, Scott Hoose, an outstanding senior at Trinity School
    1-2  in Midland, recently was named the recipient of a 1993 National
    1-3  Merit Scholarship, and this special recognition is indeed well
    1-4  deserved; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, The son of Gary and Laurel Hoose, Mr. Hoose has
    1-6  attended Trinity School since kindergarten, where his impressive
    1-7  record of scholastic achievement has earned him the respect and
    1-8  admiration of his teachers and peers alike; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Following his high school graduation, Mr. Hoose
   1-10  plans to continue his education at Rice University or Brigham Young
   1-11  University, where he will no doubt continue to succeed in his
   1-12  studies based on his unwavering commitment to academic excellence;
   1-13  and
   1-14        WHEREAS, Scott Hoose is a remarkable young man who has
   1-15  demonstrated exemplary dedication in attaining this prestigious
   1-16  honor; his energy, enthusiasm, and determination typify the finest
   1-17  qualities of our state's young people, and he is indeed deserving
   1-18  of legislative commendation and praise for his outstanding
   1-19  achievement; now, therefore, be it
   1-20        RESOLVED, That the 73rd Legislature of the State of Texas
   1-21  hereby congratulate Scott Hoose on his receipt of a 1993 National
   1-22  Merit Scholarship and extend to him sincere best wishes for
   1-23  continued success and happiness throughout the years to come; and,
   1-24  be it further
    2-1        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-2  prepared for Mr. Hoose as an expression of highest regard by the
    2-3  Legislature of the State of Texas.
