                                 CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
    1-1        WHEREAS, Kenneth R. Walts alleges that:
    1-2              (1)  he was employed by the Kerrville State Hospital;
    1-3              (2)  he was wrongfully discharged from his position as
    1-4  a case manager by the hospital;
    1-5              (3)  the hospital did not follow proper procedures for
    1-6  terminating an employee;
    1-7              (4)  untrue statements severely affected his ability to
    1-8  be hired by potential employers;
    1-9              (5)  as a result of these actions by the hospital, he
   1-10  suffered financial and professional damages; and
   1-11              (6)  he is entitled to be reinstated to his previous
   1-12  position at the hospital with back wages and all rights and
   1-13  benefits without prejudice; now, therefore, be it
   1-14        RESOLVED by the Legislature of the State of Texas, That
   1-15  Kenneth R. Walts is granted permission to sue the State of Texas,
   1-16  Kerrville State Hospital, and the Texas Department of Mental Health
   1-17  and Mental Retardation subject to Chapter 107, Civil Practice and
   1-18  Remedies Code; and, be it further
   1-19        RESOLVED, That the superintendent of the Kerrville State
   1-20  Hospital and the commissioner of the Texas Department of Mental
   1-21  Health and Mental Retardation be served process as provided by
   1-22  Section 107.002(a)(3), Civil Practice and Remedies Code.
