H.R. No. 14
                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The many friends and relatives of B. H. Moore were
    1-2  deeply saddened by the passing of this esteemed gentleman on
    1-3  January 29, 1992, at the age of 68; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, Born May 28, 1923, in Shelby County, Mr. Moore
    1-5  answered his country's call during World War II by joining the
    1-6  armed services in 1941, where he served with distinction until
    1-7  1945; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, His deep and abiding faith in the political system
    1-9  that is the basis for our nation's greatness was reflected in his
   1-10  rendering of more than a quarter century of public service;
   1-11  Mr. Moore tirelessly devoted his energies serving as election
   1-12  judge, Democratic Party precinct chair, party secretary, party
   1-13  treasurer, and delegate; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, Although Mr. Moore suffered from a chronic physical
   1-15  condition that caused him much pain, his will to serve allowed him
   1-16  to persevere cheerfully in his duties until his recent death; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, With his loving wife, Mattie, Mr. Moore was active
   1-18  in the church and community and deeply devoted to their many family
   1-19  and friends; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, A man of rare dedication and compassion, B. H. Moore
   1-21  will long be remembered by all who were privileged to know him;
   1-22  though his presence is gone from us now, his unique spirit will
   1-23  continue to live in the hearts of the many people whose lives were
   1-24  touched by this outstanding individual; now, therefore, be it
    2-1        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
    2-2  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of B. H. Moore and
    2-3  extend deepest sympathy to his wife, Mattie Moore; and, be it
    2-4  further
    2-5        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-6  prepared for Mattie Moore and that when the Texas House of
    2-7  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of B. H.
