                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Cleburne Yellow Jackets football team has
    1-2  distinguished itself during the 1992 gridiron campaign, winning the
    1-3  District 5 championship and a well-deserved place in the University
    1-4  Interscholastic League Class 5A football playoffs; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, With a record of seven wins and four losses,
    1-6  including a perfect 5-0 in district play, the Yellow Jackets
    1-7  attained the first district football championship in the school's
    1-8  history; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Dedication to excellence both individually and as a
   1-10  team was a hallmark of the Yellow Jackets, whose members include
   1-11  Wayland White, Larry Scott, Dustin Armstrong, Jeremy Lewis, Holt
   1-12  Dooley, Chad Allen, Chris Harrington, Scott Tidwell, Ephriam
   1-13  Wilson, Dax Kelm, Keith Ledbetter, Brad Walker, Clark Elmore, Chris
   1-14  Guzman, Richard Goodgion, Brent Huffman, Jason Wylie, James
   1-15  Russell, Alan Dinsdale, Rodney Shrader, Justin Ray, John Perkins,
   1-16  Casey Goodgion, Jonathan Steward, Walter Presley, Chris Cook,
   1-17  Kenneth Galloway, Chris Woodfin, Aaron Williams, Marty Griffith,
   1-18  Brad Galbreath, Tyler Wood, Elton Reeves, Chad Fagan, Jesse Wilson,
   1-19  Ryan McCullough, Nikia Codie, Andy Clifton, Damon Jenkins, Jeremy
   1-20  Walker, and Ben Allen; and
   1-21        WHEREAS, Outstanding leadership and guidance were provided by
   1-22  head coach Jerry Stewart, who instilled in his charges an unceasing
   1-23  desire for excellence; he was tirelessly supported by assistant
   1-24  coaches Joe Brown, Butch Lawney, Bill McDaniel, Don Purdy, Richard
    2-1  Naylor, Justin Marchel, and Fred Sarchet; and
    2-2        WHEREAS, This exemplary group of young men and their coaches
    2-3  and staff have been a tremendous source of pride for the students
    2-4  and faculty of Cleburne High School and their many supporters in
    2-5  the community, and their exceptional achievements have rightfully
    2-6  earned them special legislative recognition; now, therefore, be it
    2-7        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
    2-8  Legislature hereby congratulate the Cleburne High School Yellow
    2-9  Jacket football team on its excellent season, including a
   2-10  first-ever 5A district championship, and extend to them best wishes
   2-11  for continued success in the future; and, be it further
   2-12        RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared
   2-13  for the members of the team and coaching staff and that a copy be
   2-14  prepared for prominent display at Cleburne High School as an
   2-15  expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
