H.R. No. 48 R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor 1-2 the many fine students of the Loop Independent School District who 1-3 have excelled at every level of University Interscholastic League 1-4 academic and athletic competition; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Among the many students from the district who shined 1-6 in local, regional, and statewide competition during the 1991-1992 1-7 school year were Libby Watson, one of the top five competitors in 1-8 the state in prose interpretation, and Christi Gwyn, one of the six 1-9 state finalists in feature writing; and 1-10 WHEREAS, Their accomplishments are a source of justifiable 1-11 pride to the students and faculty of Loop Independent School 1-12 District and the greater community; and 1-13 WHEREAS, Outstanding representatives of their school, these 1-14 exceptional students proved the value of hard work, dedication, and 1-15 an unwavering faith in their own capabilities, and their impressive 1-16 achievements, which reflect the community's commitment to 1-17 excellence in academic and athletic endeavors, are indeed worthy of 1-18 special legislative praise and recognition; now, therefore, be it 1-19 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas 1-20 Legislature hereby recognize all of the students of the Loop 1-21 Independent School District who have enthusiastically participated 1-22 in UIL activities and extend congratulations to Libby Watson and 1-23 Christi Gwyn on their performance in 1991-1992 state UIL 1-24 competition; and, be it further 2-1 RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared 2-2 for presentation to these exceptional students as an expression of 2-3 high regard by the Texas House of Representatives. 2-4 high regard by the Texas House of Representatives. 2-5 Rudd 2-6 H.R.
