H.R. No. 87
                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Mighty Mustang Band of Aldine High School in
    1-2  Houston was selected to perform in the inaugural parade on January
    1-3  20, 1993, and this special recognition is indeed well-deserved; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, Being chosen to represent Texas at this historic
    1-5  event is truly a distinctive honor and this talented group of young
    1-6  musicians, under the expert direction of Jeff Laird, worked
    1-7  diligently to raise the funds needed to participate in this
    1-8  prestigious and memorable occasion; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, The dedication, hard work, and talent of the Mighty
   1-10  Mustang Band are a source of great pride to the community of
   1-11  Houston and the students and faculty of Aldine High School, and
   1-12  their recent achievement truly merits special legislative
   1-13  commendation and praise; now, therefore, be it
   1-14        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
   1-15  Legislature hereby congratulate the members of the Mighty Mustang
   1-16  Band on its first appearance representing the State of Texas in an
   1-17  inaugural parade and extend to them sincere best wishes for
   1-18  continued success in the future; and, be it further
   1-19        RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared
   1-20  for Mr. Laird and the band and for prominent display at Aldine High
   1-21  School as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of
   1-22  Representatives.
