H.R. No. 111 R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Youth Appreciation Week is a time when local 1-2 Optimist Clubs recognize outstanding area youth for achievements in 1-3 the arts, sciences, and humanities, as well as for civic 1-4 involvement and service; and 1-5 WHEREAS, In recent years, the capital area Optimist Clubs 1-6 from Austin, La Grange, Giddings, Round Rock, Cedar Park-Leander, 1-7 Taylor, Bastrop, and Manchaca have held the award ceremonies in the 1-8 chamber of the Texas House of Representatives to solemnize the 1-9 occasion and underscore the high regard in which these honors are 1-10 held; and 1-11 WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives strongly endorses 1-12 the efforts of the Optimist Clubs in encouraging area youth and 1-13 fully supports the goals of Youth Appreciation Week; now, 1-14 therefore, be it 1-15 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas 1-16 Legislature hereby designate March 28 to April 3, 1993, to be Youth 1-17 Appreciation Week in the capital area; and, be it further 1-18 RESOLVED, That, in accordance with house rules, the capital 1-19 area Optimist Clubs be granted permission to use the chamber of the 1-20 house of representatives for the purpose of holding an awards 1-21 ceremony in connection with Youth Appreciation Week from 7 p.m. to 1-22 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30, 1993; and, be it further 1-23 RESOLVED, That the Optimist Clubs shall comply with policies 1-24 of the Committee on House Administration regarding use of the 2-1 chamber and other Capitol facilities. 2-2 chamber and other Capitol facilities. 2-3 Linebarger 2-4 H.R.
