                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor
    1-2  the annual Freer Rattlesnake Round Up, which will celebrate its
    1-3  28th anniversary on April 23-25, 1993; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, The Freer Rattlesnake Round Up holds a special place
    1-5  in the hearts of the 3,200 residents of the community, who will
    1-6  play host to thousands of visitors from throughout the Lone Star
    1-7  State during the three-day festival of fun, thrills, and family
    1-8  entertainment; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, In recent years, the round up has gained ever
   1-10  increasing statewide and national attention; a record crowd of more
   1-11  than 41,000 visitors attended the 1992 round up, and even greater
   1-12  numbers are expected this year; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, It is indeed appropriate that the Texas House of
   1-14  Representatives recognize and acknowledge the Freer Rattlesnake
   1-15  Round Up as a unique Texas tradition; now, therefore, be it
   1-16        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
   1-17  Legislature hereby declare the Freer Rattlesnake Round Up to be the
   1-18  Official Rattlesnake Round Up of Texas and commend all those
   1-19  associated with this popular event for their hard work in ensuring
   1-20  its continued success; and, be it further
   1-21        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
   1-22  prepared for the citizens of Freer as an expression of high regard
   1-23  by the Texas House of Representatives.
