                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, On Wednesday, January 20, 1993, our distinguished
    1-2  colleague, the Honorable Allen D. Place, Jr., and his lovely wife,
    1-3  Tonya, were blessed with the birth of a beautiful baby girl; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, At 10:10 a.m., the corridors of Scott and White
    1-5  Hospital in Temple echoed with the cries of new life, as McKamie
    1-6  Claryse Place entered this world and nuzzled herself permanently
    1-7  into the hearts of her loving parents, who immediately gave
    1-8  themselves over to a life of nurturing love for their newest family
    1-9  addition; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, McKamie's arrival at her new home was greeted with
   1-11  many interesting sights and sounds as she was introduced to the
   1-12  rest of her family:  siblings Amber, Ashley, Nicholas Hukle, and
   1-13  Shea Elyse; also sharing in the joy of the Place household have
   1-14  been grandparents Dwain and Rose Place of Gatesville and Jerry and
   1-15  Kay Tunnell of Beeville, all of whom have doted over her beauty and
   1-16  exchanged opinions regarding whom the child most resembles; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, Named in honor of L. C.  and Boots McKamie, former
   1-18  superintendents of Gatesville Independent School District, this
   1-19  8-pound, 11-ounce bundle of joy was the first baby born to a member
   1-20  of the 73rd Texas Legislature, and the members of this chamber take
   1-21  great pleasure in officially announcing her birth; now, therefore,
   1-22  be it
   1-23        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
   1-24  Legislature hereby officially welcome McKamie Claryse Place as a
    2-1  new citizen of Texas and extend sincere congratulations to
    2-2  Representative and Mrs. Allen D. Place, Jr., on the birth of their
    2-3  daughter; and, be it further
    2-4        RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared
    2-5  for McKamie Claryse, her parents, and her grandparents as an
    2-6  expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
