                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, Tabetha Perkins was recently honored by the
    1-2  Harlandale Lions Club for her exemplary record of academic
    1-3  achievement, and this special recognition is indeed well deserved;
    1-4  and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Each year the Harlandale Lions Club recognizes
    1-6  students with high academic honors through its Project LEARN
    1-7  program, encouraging middle school students to continue to strive
    1-8  for excellence as they proceed with their studies throughout their
    1-9  years in middle and senior high school; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, Tabetha Perkins is an outstanding seventh grade
   1-11  student at Kingsborough Middle School who was honored for having
   1-12  earned the highest grade point average of a student in her grade
   1-13  during the third six weeks of school; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, By demonstrating exceptional initiative and maturity
   1-15  in successfully pursuing her studies, she has inspired all who know
   1-16  her with her enthusiasm for learning, and she is a source of great
   1-17  pride to her family and the faculty and students of Kingsborough
   1-18  Middle School; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, The fine accomplishment of this student leader truly
   1-20  merits special legislative recognition and commendation; now,
   1-21  therefore, be it
   1-22        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
   1-23  Legislature hereby congratulate Tabetha Perkins on her academic
   1-24  success and extend to her best wishes for continued happiness and
    2-1  success throughout the years to come; and, be it further
    2-2        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-3  prepared for Tabetha Perkins as an expression of high regard by the
    2-4  Texas House of Representatives.
