H.R. No. 181
                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor
    1-2  Christina M. Medellin, an outstanding eighth-grade student at
    1-3  Terrell Wells Middle School, for her exemplary record of academic
    1-4  achievement; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Each year the Harlandale Lions Club has sought to
    1-6  encourage excellence at the middle school level by recognizing
    1-7  students in the Harlandale Independent School District in San
    1-8  Antonio who have distinguished themselves academically during
    1-9  six-week periods; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, Christina Medellin was honored for having earned the
   1-11  highest grade point average of a student in her grade during the
   1-12  third six weeks of school, and she has shown herself to be imbued
   1-13  with a desire to excel and to realize her full potential as she
   1-14  prepares to meet the challenges of tomorrow; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, Ms. Medellin's goals and the effort she has made to
   1-16  achieve them are a source of justifiable pride to her family and an
   1-17  inspiration to her classmates at Terrell Wells Middle School, and
   1-18  it is indeed appropriate that the Texas House of Representatives
   1-19  acknowledge and encourage this exceptional individual's determined
   1-20  pursuit of a quality education; now, therefore, be it
   1-21        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
   1-22  Legislature hereby honor Christina M. Medellin for her exceptional
   1-23  academic achievements and extend to her best wishes for continued
   1-24  success and happiness in the future; and, be it further
    2-1        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-2  prepared for Ms. Medellin as an expression of high regard by the
    2-3  Texas House of Representatives.
