                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor
    1-2  Rebekah L. Rivas, an outstanding eighth grade student at Terrell
    1-3  Wells Middle School, for her exemplary record of academic
    1-4  achievement; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Each year the Harlandale Lions Club has sought to
    1-6  encourage excellence at the middle school level by recognizing
    1-7  students in the Harlandale Independent School District who have
    1-8  distinguished themselves academically during six-week periods; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Rebekah Rivas was honored for having earned the
   1-10  highest grade point average of a student in her grade during the
   1-11  first six weeks of school and she has shown herself to be imbued
   1-12  with a desire to excel and to realize her full potential as she
   1-13  prepares to meet the challenges of tomorrow; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, Rebekah Rivas's goals and the effort she has made to
   1-15  achieve her objectives are a source of justifiable pride to her
   1-16  family and an inspiration to her classmates at Terrell Wells Middle
   1-17  School, and it is indeed appropriate that the Texas House of
   1-18  Representatives acknowledge and encourage this exceptional
   1-19  individual's determined pursuit of a quality education; now,
   1-20  therefore, be it
   1-21        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
   1-22  Legislature hereby honor Rebekah L. Rivas for her exceptional
   1-23  academic achievements and extend to her best wishes for continued
   1-24  success and happiness in the future; and, be it further
    2-1        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-2  prepared for Rebekah Rivas as an expression of high regard by the
    2-3  Texas House of Representatives.
