H.R. No. 188
R E S O L U T I O N
1-1 WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives takes special
1-2 pleasure in honoring Chassidy A. Trammell, a seventh grade student
1-3 at Terrell Wells Middle School in the Harlandale Independent School
1-4 District, for her truly outstanding academic achievements during
1-5 the 1992-1993 scholastic year; and
1-6 WHEREAS, This fine young woman earned the highest grade point
1-7 average of her class in a six-week grading period and has recently
1-8 been recognized by the Harlandale Lions Club for showing
1-9 extraordinary commitment to excellence and hard work; and
1-10 WHEREAS, For several years, the Harlandale Lions Club has
1-11 rewarded and encouraged academic achievement by local middle school
1-12 students as part of its Lions Excellence in Academics Recognition
1-13 Night project, an ambitious program that honors the top students in
1-14 the community at a special dinner and awards ceremony; and
1-15 WHEREAS, Ms. Trammell has enthusiastically acquired the
1-16 knowledge, self-discipline, and love for learning that will carry
1-17 her far in her future educational and professional pursuits;
1-18 admired by her peers and teachers alike, this delightful young
1-19 woman is a source of tremendous pride to her family, school,
1-20 community, and state, and her accomplishments are indeed worthy of
1-21 special commendation; now, therefore, be it
1-22 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
1-23 Legislature hereby congratulate Chassidy A. Trammell for her
1-24 exemplary academic achievements and extend to her warmest best
2-1 wishes for continued success and happiness in her future endeavors;
2-2 and, be it further
2-3 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2-4 prepared for Ms. Trammell as an expression of high esteem by the
2-5 Texas House of Representatives.
