H.R. No. 206
                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The death of Dewitt Roy Studer on December 27, 1992,
    1-2  at the age of 86 has brought great sadness to the family and many
    1-3  friends of this esteemed citizen of Fort Worth; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, A native Texan, this fine gentleman was born January
    1-5  25, 1906, in the East Texas community of Cornersville to Charles
    1-6  Frederick and Sally Brown Studer; as a young man, Mr. Studer
    1-7  married Ida Nance in Hopkins County; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Making a home for his wife and family in this
    1-9  pleasant rural area that is a leading dairy producer in our state,
   1-10  Mr. Studer worked as a dairy farmer for many years and was also a
   1-11  valued member of the local school board; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Mr. Studer and his family eventually settled in Fort
   1-13  Worth where be began a second career as a machinist for LTV Corp.
   1-14  in 1954, enjoying a 17-year tenure before retiring in 1971;
   1-15  well-liked and respected by coworkers, he was a loyal member of
   1-16  United Auto Workers Local 848; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, A man of devout faith, Mr. Studer also was a
   1-18  cherished member of the Precious Faith Temple in Fort Worth; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, Throughout his long and fulfilling life, Dewitt Roy
   1-20  Studer worked diligently to provide for his family and improve the
   1-21  quality of life for others; though gone from us now, his memory
   1-22  will continue to serve as an inspiration to all those privileged to
   1-23  have known him; now, therefore, be it
   1-24        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
    2-1  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Dewitt Roy Studer and
    2-2  extend sympathy to the members of his family:  to his wife, Ida
    2-3  Nance Studer of Fort Worth; to his daughter, Dorothy Nell Hughes of
    2-4  Westworth Village; to his sister, Mary McMurtrey of Fort Worth; and
    2-5  to the other members of his family; and, be it further
    2-6        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-7  prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas
    2-8  House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of
    2-9  Dewitt Roy Studer.
