                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, Ramiro V. Martinez has earned the Award of Financial
    1-2  Reporting Achievement for excellence in preparing the comprehensive
    1-3  annual financial report for Webb County, and this special
    1-4  recognition is indeed well deserved; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, The award is given by the Government Finance
    1-6  Officers Association of the United States and Canada, a nonprofit
    1-7  professional association serving 12,300 government finance
    1-8  professionals; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, The certificate of achievement is the highest form
   1-10  of recognition awarded in the area of governmental accounting and
   1-11  financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant
   1-12  milestone by a government and its management; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Under Mr. Martinez's exceptional leadership, the
   1-14  Webb County comprehensive annual financial report was deemed
   1-15  exemplary in demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full
   1-16  disclosure"; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, This tireless public servant has set an inspiring
   1-18  example of leadership and professional excellence throughout his
   1-19  career, and it is appropriate that he be honored for his
   1-20  contributions and achievements; now, therefore, be it
   1-21        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
   1-22  Legislature hereby congratulate Ramiro V. Martinez on being named
   1-23  the recipient of the Award of Financial Reporting Achievement and
   1-24  extend to him best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
    2-1        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-2  prepared for Mr. Martinez as an expression of high regard by the
    2-3  Texas House of Representatives.
