                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor
    1-2  Tommy Salinas for his many outstanding civic contributions to the
    1-3  citizens of Crystal City; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, Dedicated to helping the hardworking residents of
    1-5  southern Zavala County, Mr. Salinas has provided valued leadership
    1-6  and enthusiasm to the various worthwhile local organizations that
    1-7  lend a hand in this agricultural community; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, This outstanding gentleman's many civic endeavors
    1-9  include performing important community service with the Knights of
   1-10  Columbus, tending to the needs of both young and elderly residents,
   1-11  providing counseling to troubled youth, and engaging in numerous
   1-12  vital church activities; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Especially dedicated to ensuring the success of
   1-14  local youth, Mr. Salinas has been a consistent champion of their
   1-15  efforts and manages to attend every Crystal City High School and
   1-16  Junior High School home sporting event, earning the lasting respect
   1-17  and admiration of these promising young people; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, A man of great generosity and energy, Mr. Salinas
   1-19  has benefited his community and our state through his tireless
   1-20  devotion to others and is an excellent role model for youth; an
   1-21  exemplary citizen, his many fine contributions to the civic life of
   1-22  his community are indeed deserving of special legislative
   1-23  recognition; now, therefore, be it
   1-24        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
    2-1  Legislature hereby commend Tommy Salinas for his outstanding record
    2-2  of civic service; and, be it further
    2-3        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-4  prepared for Mr. Salinas as an expression of high regard by the
    2-5  Texas House of Representatives.
