By: Erickson H.R. No. 306 73R4728 WMS-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor 1-2 Adam M. Hamilton of Troop 217 in Alvarado on his noteworthy 1-3 achievement in becoming an Eagle Scout; and 1-4 WHEREAS, This exceptional young man has demonstrated 1-5 exemplary dedication to the high ideals of scouting, serving his 1-6 troop as senior patrol leader and Webelos den chief, and also has 1-7 been designated District Order of the Arrow first vice chief; and 1-8 WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is an extremely rare 1-9 honor, bestowed on fewer than two percent of those who enter the 1-10 scouting movement, and by successfully meeting rigorous standards, 1-11 which include the completion of 21 merit badges, Adam M. Hamilton 1-12 has achieved a truly remarkable feat; and 1-13 WHEREAS, Befitting his newly attained rank among scouting's 1-14 elite, Eagle Scout Hamilton will be duly recognized for his 1-15 noteworthy achievements and receive his silver insignia in a 1-16 ceremony to be held on February 27, 1993, at the First United 1-17 Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Alvarado; and 1-18 WHEREAS, Exemplifying scouting's most cherished ideals, Adam 1-19 M. Hamilton has been a source of great pride for his parents and an 1-20 inspirational leader to his fellow troop members, and it is indeed 1-21 appropriate that this deserving young man receive special 1-22 legislative recognition; now, therefore, be it 1-23 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas 1-24 Legislature hereby congratulate Adam M. Hamilton on his outstanding 2-1 accomplishment in attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and earning the 2-2 right to wear the cherished silver eagle badge; and, be it further 2-3 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-4 prepared for Eagle Scout Hamilton as an expression of high regard 2-5 by the Texas House of Representatives.
