                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor
    1-2  the legislative and governmental affairs division of the Deer Park
    1-3  Chamber of Commerce for its exceptional work in helping to create
    1-4  and maintain a positive business climate in the community; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Chartered in 1959, the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce
    1-6  works closely with industry, local government, and the school
    1-7  district to integrate resources, educate and encourage local
    1-8  businesses, and promote a positive image of the Deer Park community
    1-9  for  the larger business arena; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, Working closely with government agencies and
   1-11  officials at the local, state, and federal levels, the legislative
   1-12  affairs committee is an articulate voice and invaluable liaison for
   1-13  the members of the chamber with regard to discussion of legislative
   1-14  issues affecting local business and civic affairs; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, This exemplary group of civic leaders represents the
   1-16  most positive and progressive aspects of the Deer Park business
   1-17  community, and it is indeed appropriate that its members be honored
   1-18  for their outstanding services performed in behalf of the city of
   1-19  Deer Park; now, therefore, be it
   1-20        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
   1-21  Legislature hereby honor the legislative and governmental affairs
   1-22  division of the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce for its exemplary
   1-23  efforts in behalf of the citizens of Deer Park and welcome the
   1-24  delegation of members from this fine body to the Capitol on March
    2-1  23, 1993, as part of their Legislative Day observance; and, be it
    2-2  further
    2-3        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-4  prepared for members of the legislative and governmental affairs
    2-5  division of the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce on the occasion of
    2-6  their visit as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of
    2-7  Representatives.
