                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, With her recent retirement from Southwestern Bell
    1-2  Telephone Company, Diane Lowe, a well-respected Walker County
    1-3  business and community leader, drew to a close her exceptional
    1-4  25-year career in the telecommunications industry; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Throughout her tenure with the corporation, Ms. Lowe
    1-6  has worked diligently in the areas of both marketing and public
    1-7  relations, attending to the diverse needs and concerns of the
    1-8  customers she has so tirelessly strived to please; with the insight
    1-9  that comes from years of experience, Ms. Lowe has enhanced each
   1-10  position she has held and has instilled trust and confidence in
   1-11  those she has faithfully served; and
   1-12        WHEREAS, Highly regarded in her field for her keen public
   1-13  relations skills, Ms. Lowe has thrived in the excitement and
   1-14  challenges of her position; driven by her dynamic spirit, she moves
   1-15  on to new and different opportunities in her quest for continued
   1-16  personal growth and achievement; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, To her credit, Ms. Lowe has long been a member of
   1-18  many local business and charitable organizations, contributing a
   1-19  great deal of support to such groups as the Telephone Pioneers of
   1-20  America, the Huntsville Community Relations Team, the Huntsville
   1-21  Rotary Club, the Huntsville Arts Commission, and the United Way of
   1-22  Walker County; she also has served as both a member of the board
   1-23  and vice-president of the Huntsville-Walker County Chamber of
   1-24  Commerce, as a board member of the Walker County Children's
    2-1  Protective Services and the YMCA, as chairperson of the "2020"
    2-2  Cultural Plan, as co-chairperson of the Sam Houston Bicentennial
    2-3  Celebration, as Community Involvement Coordinator for Huntsville
    2-4  Independent School District, and as a representative of the
    2-5  Huntsville-Walker County Economic Development Corporation; and
    2-6        WHEREAS, With her commitment to professional competence and
    2-7  management excellence, Ms. Lowe has proven an indispensable asset
    2-8  to the positions she has held and will be greatly missed for her
    2-9  exemplary contributions; now, therefore, be it
   2-10        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
   2-11  Legislature hereby honor Ms. Lowe for her years of distinguished
   2-12  service to the citizens of Walker County and extend to her warmest
   2-13  best wishes for continued success and happiness in her future
   2-14  endeavors; and, be it further
   2-15        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
   2-16  prepared for Ms. Lowe as an expression of high regard by the Texas
   2-17  House of Representatives.
