                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The members of the Texas House of Representatives
    1-2  are always honored to have students visit the Capitol where they
    1-3  can learn firsthand about the legislative process and the duties
    1-4  and responsibilities of their elected state officials; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, A distinguished group of students from Solomon
    1-6  Schechter Academy of Dallas is visiting Austin and the Capitol on
    1-7  April 27, 1993; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, The Solomon Schechter Academy is a highly respected
    1-9  Jewish educational institution with about 450 students enrolled in
   1-10  classes from preschool through middle school grades; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, The academy is recognized for its uncompromising
   1-12  commitment to academic excellence and for its emphasis on
   1-13  developing creative thinking, confidence, independence, and
   1-14  personal and community responsibility; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, The visiting students will greatly enhance their
   1-16  understanding of Texas government and history through personal
   1-17  observation and discussion; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, Their interest in state government and history is
   1-19  highly commendable, and they indeed merit special recognition on
   1-20  the occasion of their visit to the Capitol; now, therefore, be it
   1-21        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
   1-22  Legislature hereby welcome the students from Solomon Schechter
   1-23  Academy to the Capitol and extend to them best wishes for a
   1-24  rewarding and enjoyable visit; and, be it further
    2-1        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-2  prepared for the students of Solomon Schechter Academy as a memento
    2-3  of their visit to the Capitol.
