No. 472 73R7660 KMP-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Texans everywhere are indebted to the fine men and 1-2 women in the law enforcement profession who, by their selfless 1-3 dedication to the public welfare, have enabled us to enjoy the 1-4 benefits of a peaceful and orderly society; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Seldom recognized and often taken for granted by the 1-6 public they so faithfully serve, these gallant individuals risk 1-7 their lives each day in order to ensure domestic tranquility and 1-8 protect the lives and property of others; and 1-9 WHEREAS, The death of a peace officer in the line of duty is 1-10 a tragic loss to the entire community and state, and the Texas 1-11 House of Representatives joins with the family, friends, and 1-12 colleagues of Deputy Roxyann Warren Allee in mourning the death of 1-13 this exemplary public servant; and 1-14 WHEREAS, A highly respected member of the Harris County 1-15 Sheriff's Department, Deputy Allee exemplified in her personal and 1-16 professional conduct the singular virtues of courage, integrity, 1-17 and unwavering commitment; and 1-18 WHEREAS, Throughout her six years on the force, this 1-19 extraordinary Texan demonstrated the meritorious service, loyalty, 1-20 personal bravery, and self-sacrifice consistent with the high 1-21 ideals of the law enforcement profession; and 1-22 WHEREAS, Her legacy of heroic dedication and self-sacrifice 1-23 will endure, and although her presence is gone from us now, Deputy 1-24 Allee will continue to be a source of inspiration to her fellow 2-1 peace officers who pursue this noble and difficult profession; now, 2-2 therefore, be it 2-3 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas 2-4 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Deputy Roxyann Warren 2-5 Allee of the Harris County Sheriff's Department and extend profound 2-6 sympathy to the members of her family: to her husband, Kent; to 2-7 her children, Bethany and Kent II; to her mother, Teena; to her 2-8 father and stepmother, John and Judy; to her brother, John Jr.; to 2-9 her sister, Susan; and to her many other relatives and friends; 2-10 and, be it further 2-11 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-12 prepared for the members of her family and that when the Texas 2-13 House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of 2-14 Deputy Roxyann Warren Allee.
