H.R. No. 480 R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The death of Texas Department of Public Safety 1-2 Trooper Bill Davidson, on April 14, 1992, has brought a great loss 1-3 to the many friends and relatives of this gallant Texas law 1-4 enforcement officer; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Throughout his 18 years of service with the 1-6 department, Trooper Davidson's record was marked by meritorious 1-7 service, personal bravery, loyalty, and self-sacrifice, consistent 1-8 with the highest ideals of the law enforcement profession; and 1-9 WHEREAS, His untimely passing, following a gunshot wound 1-10 sustained in the line of duty, was a tragic loss to his family, his 1-11 fellow peace officers, and the entire community; and 1-12 WHEREAS, Though his presence is gone from us now, Trooper 1-13 Davidson's legacy of heroic dedication and self-sacrifice will 1-14 endure and continue to be a source of inspiration to the many 1-15 people whose lives were touched by this exceptional gentleman; now, 1-16 therefore, be it 1-17 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas 1-18 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Trooper Bill Davidson 1-19 and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his 1-20 devoted wife, Linda; to his daughter, Kimberly; to his son, Trey; 1-21 and to his many other family members and friends; and, be it 1-22 further 1-23 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 1-24 prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas 2-1 House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of 2-2 Trooper Bill Davidson. 2-3 Trooper Bill Davidson. 2-4 Holzheauser 2-5 H.R.
