                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to
    1-2  recognize Lamar Elementary School in Grand Prairie on the occasion
    1-3  of the school's Parents' Day Seminar; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, Sponsored by Lamar Elementary School and Communities
    1-5  in Schools, this worthwhile event provides its participants with an
    1-6  important forum for the discussion of a number of significant
    1-7  issues, such as youth at risk, helping children to learn,
    1-8  responsibilities as parents in education, and family values, all
    1-9  topics which have a profound impact on the lives of Texas
   1-10  schoolchildren each day; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, Since its founding, Lamar Elementary School has
   1-12  dedicated itself to the total development of its students,
   1-13  motivating thousands of young people to expand their horizons and
   1-14  helping parents to increase their involvement in the school as well
   1-15  as their awareness of current issues affecting their children; a
   1-16  shining example of excellence in education, this outstanding
   1-17  institution will continue to play a vital role in shaping the
   1-18  future leaders of our state and nation; now, therefore, be it
   1-19        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
   1-20  Legislature hereby honor Lamar Elementary School on the occasion of
   1-21  its Parents' Day Seminar and extend warmest best wishes to all of
   1-22  the seminar's organizers, presenters, and participants for a
   1-23  memorable and meaningful event; and, be it further
   1-24        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-1  prepared for Lamar Elementary School as an expression of high
    2-2  regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
