                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, One of the functions of the Texas Parks and Wildlife
    1-2  Department is to provide outdoor recreational opportunities for all
    1-3  Texans through conscientious management and protection of wildlife
    1-4  and wildlife habitat, and those dedicated individuals who serve as
    1-5  game wardens are indispensable to the agency's coordinated efforts
    1-6  to fulfill that function; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, Since its inception in 1895 as the Fish and Oyster
    1-8  Commission, the agency's scope has broadened to encompass the
    1-9  preservation, development, and maintenance of the myriad natural
   1-10  wonders for which Texas is renowned; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, The unceasing efforts of the Texas Parks and
   1-12  Wildlife Department to address these vital issues, and in
   1-13  particular the efforts of the frontline personnel whose dedication
   1-14  to the agency's goals is essential to the fulfillment of its
   1-15  purpose, indeed merit the recognition and support of the Texas
   1-16  House of Representatives; now, therefore, be it
   1-17        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
   1-18  Legislature hereby grant the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department
   1-19  permission to use the house chamber, in accordance with house rules
   1-20  and policies of the Committee on House Administration, on April 9,
   1-21  1993, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., provided the house is not in session,
   1-22  for the purpose of holding graduation ceremonies for newly instated
   1-23  game wardens in a setting appropriate to that important occasion.
