No. 495 73R8104 WMS-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The individuals who conduct public auctions of real 1-2 estate and personal and business property are a vital and 1-3 influential part of marketing in Texas, the United States, and in 1-4 countries throughout the world; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Public auction is a time-honored and effective 1-6 price-setting mechanism that provides the necessary flexibility for 1-7 inclusion of current market variables; and 1-8 WHEREAS, Professional auctioneers who serve as members of the 1-9 Texas Auctioneers Association and the National Auctioneers 1-10 Association consistently strive to maintain the highest possible 1-11 professional standards, providing the maximum benefit to buyers and 1-12 sellers alike; and 1-13 WHEREAS, The auction format is particularly beneficial for 1-14 charitable organizations such as church groups, educational 1-15 institutions, civic clubs, and other nonprofit entities, creating a 1-16 festive and exciting atmosphere that greatly facilitates the 1-17 raising of much needed funds; and 1-18 WHEREAS, Members of the Texas Auctioneers Association and the 1-19 National Auctioneers Association have dedicated themselves to 1-20 maintaining a high level of professionalism, adhering to the finest 1-21 principles of integrity, and subscribing to a strict code of 1-22 ethics, and their outstanding efforts in that regard truly merit 1-23 special legislative recognition; now, therefore, be it 1-24 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas 2-1 Legislature hereby honor the members of the Texas Auctioneers 2-2 Association and the National Auctioneers Association for their 2-3 contributions toward a vibrant and dynamic local, statewide, and 2-4 national economy by their exemplary efforts in the field of 2-5 marketing; and, be it further 2-6 RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared 2-7 for the officers and leaders of the Texas Auctioneers Association 2-8 and the National Auctioneers Association as an expression of high 2-9 regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
