                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The family and many friends of Stocky Lamberson were
    1-2  deeply saddened by the passing of this beloved gentleman on March
    1-3  18, 1993, at the age of 50; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, Mr. Lamberson spent much of his youth in Groom,
    1-5  Texas, where he met his future wife, Aimee; enjoying a lasting
    1-6  relationship of mutual love and respect, the couple also were
    1-7  blessed with three fine children, Todd, Renae, and Melanie, who
    1-8  supported Mr. and Mrs. Lamberson in all of their endeavors; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Fueled by a love of football and his unceasing
   1-10  desire to teach, Mr. Lamberson's coaching career spanned two
   1-11  decades and exemplified the highest possible standards both on and
   1-12  off the field; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Consistently producing winning teams throughout his
   1-14  career, he enjoyed his greatest coaching success at Panhandle High
   1-15  School, where his teams established a tradition of excellence by
   1-16  appearing in the state playoffs for nine consecutive years,
   1-17  including a berth in the 1984 state championship game, and was in
   1-18  the process of rebuilding the football program at Borger High
   1-19  School when his career was tragically cut short; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, In addition to his coaching duties, this remarkable
   1-21  man also taught American history, and the numerous students he
   1-22  taught over the years benefited from his keen insight and
   1-23  straightforward manner; and
   1-24        WHEREAS, Stocky Lamberson was a man of rare dedication and
    2-1  integrity; although his warmth and wisdom will be greatly missed by
    2-2  all who knew him, his remarkable spirit will surely live on in the
    2-3  hearts of the many people whose lives he touched during his years
    2-4  on this earth; now, therefore, be it
    2-5        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
    2-6  Legislature hereby honor the memory of Stocky Lamberson and extend
    2-7  sincere sympathy to the members of his family:  to his wife, Aimee
    2-8  Lamberson; to his children, Todd Lamberson, Renae Freeman, and
    2-9  Melanie Lamberson; and to the many other relatives and friends of
   2-10  this fine man; and, be it further
   2-11        RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared
   2-12  for the members of his family and that when the Texas House of
   2-13  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Stocky
   2-14  Lamberson.
