                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission is a
    1-2  collaborative body uniting 29 oil and gas producing states in an
    1-3  effort to coordinate the development of state and national goals
    1-4  for the production of petroleum energy resources and to formulate
    1-5  policies that will further the attainment of these goals for the
    1-6  betterment of the entire nation; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, One of the largest oil and gas producing states in
    1-8  the nation, Texas is indisputably one of the most important members
    1-9  of the compact, and its interests have been ably represented on the
   1-10  commission by its many dedicated members; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, Governor Ann W. Richards recently appointed Texas
   1-12  Railroad Commissioner Mary Scott Nabers and State Representative
   1-13  Robert Earley to serve on the commission; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, These two appointees will be sworn to their new
   1-15  posts on April 20, 1993, by the Honorable Marilyn Aboussie,
   1-16  Justice, Third Court of Appeals, and it is the desire of the Texas
   1-17  House of Representatives to show its support for these two new
   1-18  members and for all of the men and women who serve in this
   1-19  capacity; now, therefore, be it
   1-20        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
   1-21  Legislature hereby grant permission for the use of the house
   1-22  chamber, provided the house is not in session and subject to house
   1-23  rules and policies of the Committee on House Administration, on
   1-24  Tuesday, April 20, 1993, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.  for the
    2-1  purpose of swearing in Texas Railroad Commissioner Mary Scott
    2-2  Nabers and State Representative Robert Earley to their appointed
    2-3  posts on the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission.
