                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The passing of Mary Rose Patronella on March 20,
    1-2  1993, at the age of 74, is a great loss to her family and friends
    1-3  and to the many members of her church and community who were
    1-4  touched by her remarkable spirit; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, A native Houstonian, Mrs. Patronella was a dedicated
    1-6  member of All Saints Catholic Church and an esteemed resident of
    1-7  her community, where she eagerly contributed to the enrichment of
    1-8  the lives of those around her through her friendship and generous
    1-9  acts of service; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, Together with her husband of 58 years, John
   1-11  J. Patronella, Sr., this devoted wife and mother worked diligently
   1-12  throughout her lifetime to create a warm and loving home for her
   1-13  family; she took an active role in the lives of her four children,
   1-14  instilling in them strong moral values and encouraging them with
   1-15  love and support in all their endeavors; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, Mrs. Patronella's kind and gentle nature brightened
   1-17  the lives of many people, and she will be deeply missed by all who
   1-18  were privileged to know her; now, therefore, be it
   1-19        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
   1-20  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Mary Rose Patronella
   1-21  and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of her family:  to her
   1-22  husband, John J. Patronella, Sr.; to her sons and daughter-in-law,
   1-23  Charles J. and Paula Patronella, Louis J. Patronella, and Jude
   1-24  B. Patronella; to her grandchildren, including our former colleague
    2-1  the Honorable David M. Patronella, Mary Patronella Kiesewetter,
    2-2  Cathy Patronella Brady, and Larry S. Patronella; to her four
    2-3  beloved great-grandchildren; to her sister and brother-in-law, Lena
    2-4  and John Mattern; and to her niece, Marcia Mattern; and to the many
    2-5  other relatives and friends of this special woman; and, be it
    2-6  further
    2-7        RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared
    2-8  for the members of her family and that when the Texas House of
    2-9  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Mary Rose
   2-10  Patronella.
