                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, Leta Stimson Pruett Baker of Denton County will
    1-2  celebrate her 100th birthday on April 28, 1993, and to her family
    1-3  and many delighted friends, this event promises to be a truly
    1-4  joyous and memorable occasion; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, A native of Center Point, this outstanding Texan has
    1-6  lived in Kerr, Wise, and Denton counties and has watched her state
    1-7  achieve unprecedented growth and prosperity during the last
    1-8  century; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Inspiring all who know her with her energetic spirit
   1-10  and enthusiasm for life, Mrs. Baker is an accomplished and talented
   1-11  quilter and crocheter; she also is a devoted member of the Baptist
   1-12  church, and has made many invaluable contributions to her community
   1-13  of faith; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, Above all else, this extraordinary woman takes
   1-15  immense pride in her family, which includes three children, 13
   1-16  grandchildren, and more than 40 great-grandchildren and
   1-17  great-great-grandchildren, and she has been a source of tremendous
   1-18  joy and strength to those around her throughout her full and
   1-19  generous life; now, therefore, be it
   1-20        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
   1-21  Legislature hereby congratulate Leta Stimson Pruett Baker on the
   1-22  momentous occasion of her 100th birthday and extend to her warmest
   1-23  best wishes for many more happy and rewarding years; and, be it
   1-24  further
    2-1        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-2  prepared for Mrs. Baker as an expression of highest esteem by the
    2-3  Texas House of Representatives.
