No. 558 73R8951 BNL-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Officer Rondall Sisco of the San Antonio Police 1-2 Department was killed in the line of duty on September 22, 1992, 1-3 and his death was a tragic loss not only to his family and his 1-4 fellow peace officers but to the entire community as well; and 1-5 WHEREAS, This esteemed officer exemplified in his personal 1-6 and professional conduct the singular virtues of courage, 1-7 integrity, and unwavering dedication, and his commitment to his 1-8 fellow officers, as well as to the community he served, earned him 1-9 the respect of all who knew him; and 1-10 WHEREAS, Throughout his 21 years on the force, Officer 1-11 Sisco's record was one of meritorious service, loyalty, personal 1-12 bravery, and self-sacrifice consistent with the highest ideals of 1-13 the law enforcement profession; and 1-14 WHEREAS, Texans everywhere are indebted to this exceptional 1-15 police officer and to all the fine men and women in the law 1-16 enforcement profession who by their selfless dedication to the 1-17 public welfare have enabled us to enjoy the benefits of a peaceful 1-18 and orderly society; and 1-19 WHEREAS, Seldom recognized, often taken for granted by the 1-20 public they so faithfully serve, these gallant individuals daily 1-21 risk their lives to ensure domestic tranquility and protect the 1-22 lives and property of others; and 1-23 WHEREAS, Officer Sisco's legacy of heroic dedication and 1-24 self-sacrifice will surely endure and continue to be a source of 2-1 inspiration to those who follow him in this difficult but essential 2-2 profession; though his presence is gone from us now, he will long 2-3 be remembered as a man of honor and integrity by the many people 2-4 who knew and admired him; now, therefore, be it 2-5 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas 2-6 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Officer Rondall Sisco 2-7 of the San Antonio Police Department and extend deepest sympathy to 2-8 the members of his family: to his wife, Sandra; to his sons, 2-9 Rondall, Casey, and Curtis; to his mother, Eurika; to his brothers, 2-10 Wesley, Montie, and Donald; to his sister, Lena; and to all of his 2-11 many friends and relatives; and, be it further 2-12 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-13 prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas 2-14 House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of 2-15 Officer Rondall Sisco.
