                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, Virginia Salmon is retiring from her position as
    1-2  county treasurer after serving the people of Anderson County with
    1-3  honor and distinction for the past 10 years; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, In her capacity as county treasurer, Ms. Salmon has
    1-5  dedicated herself to managing the county's resources in the most
    1-6  efficient way possible while coordinating a wide array of financial
    1-7  decisions; for more than a decade, her sound policies and prudent
    1-8  exercise of her fiscal responsibility have been much appreciated by
    1-9  the taxpayers whom she has faithfully served; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, A conscientious public servant, this warm and
   1-11  generous individual continues to serve her friends and neighbors in
   1-12  Anderson County as a private citizen, too; she is a tireless
   1-13  volunteer and has given generously of her time and talent to
   1-14  numerous charitable and community organizations; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, One cause that has been particularly important to
   1-16  her is the United Way, and Ms. Salmon's efforts with that renowned
   1-17  service organization have earned her the admiration, respect, and
   1-18  gratitude of residents throughout her community; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, Virginia Salmon has admirably served her fellow
   1-20  citizens for more than 10 years, and her dedication will be sorely
   1-21  missed by her colleagues; she has contributed greatly to the
   1-22  betterment of her community, and her numerous professional
   1-23  accomplishments and civic contributions are indeed worthy of
   1-24  special legislative recognition; now, therefore, be it
    2-1        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
    2-2  Legislature hereby commend Virginia Salmon for her many years of
    2-3  service to the people of Anderson County and extend to her warmest
    2-4  best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement; and, be it
    2-5  further
    2-6        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-7  prepared for Virginia Salmon as an expression of high regard by the
    2-8  Texas House of Representatives.
