H.R. No. 587
                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, Officer Marvin Wills has been a game warden with the
    1-2  Parks and Wildlife Department in Washington County for nearly four
    1-3  decades, and he is to be commended for his outstanding record of
    1-4  devoted service in protecting the bountiful natural resources so
    1-5  vital to this state; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, Born and raised in San Marcos, Officer Wills
    1-7  developed a unique appreciation for nature at an early age, and as
    1-8  a young man, he searched for a position of employment that would
    1-9  allow him to be near the land he so highly valued; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, At the age of 25, Officer Wills found what he was
   1-11  looking for, as his natural skills and interests led him to a
   1-12  career with the Game and Fish Commission; as a valued member of the
   1-13  wildlife division of the Parks and Wildlife Department, this highly
   1-14  regarded officer is responsible for enforcing game and fish laws in
   1-15  Washington County, and the citizens of Washington County have
   1-16  greatly benefited from the essential service he has so skillfully
   1-17  provided throughout his remarkable tenure; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, With 39 years of experience, Officer Wills is
   1-19  extremely adept in his law-enforcement duties; not only is he
   1-20  familiar with the location of most of the deer camps in the area,
   1-21  but he also knows the best times to patrol each area, enabling him
   1-22  to perform his duties with a high degree of success; and
   1-23        WHEREAS, Officer Wills is an exceptional member of Washington
   1-24  County's law-enforcement team, and he is truly worthy of special
    2-1  legislative recognition for his dedicated efforts to preserve
    2-2  Texas' delicate ecological balance; now, therefore, be it
    2-3        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
    2-4  Legislature hereby commend Officer Marvin Wills for his outstanding
    2-5  contributions to the protection of natural resources in Texas; and,
    2-6  be it further
    2-7        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-8  prepared for Officer Wills as an expression of high esteem by the
    2-9  Texas House of Representatives.
