                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives takes special
    1-2  pleasure in congratulating Bryan resident Felice Klein on receiving
    1-3  the Lifetime Achievement Award in Social Work at the 1992
    1-4  conference of the Texas Chapter of the National Association of
    1-5  Social Workers; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, Ms. Klein began her extraordinary career at an early
    1-7  age, graduating with a bachelor's degree in preprofessional social
    1-8  work from the University of Michigan in 1944 and a master's degree
    1-9  in social work from Pittsburg State University of Pittsburg,
   1-10  Kansas, in 1946; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, Dedicating herself to improving the lives of those
   1-12  around her, this exemplary social worker gained employment with the
   1-13  Brazos County Counseling Service in 1963; nine years later, she
   1-14  moved to the Bluebonnet Psychiatric Center and, in 1979, opened her
   1-15  own private social work practice; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, Ms. Klein has received numerous honors and awards
   1-17  for her contributions to her profession, community, and state; in
   1-18  1985, she was honored as Social Worker of the Year by both the
   1-19  Texas Chapter and Brazos Valley Unit of the National Association of
   1-20  Social Workers, and that same year was named Outstanding Woman of
   1-21  Brazos County; now, therefore, be it
   1-22        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
   1-23  Legislature hereby commend Felice Klein of Bryan on her outstanding
   1-24  achievements in the field of social work; and, be it further
    2-1        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-2  prepared for Ms. Klein as an expression of highest esteem by the
    2-3  Texas House of Representatives.
