                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Rules of the House of Representatives provide
    1-2  that the Committee on House Administration shall have jurisdiction
    1-3  over the administrative operation of the house and its employees
    1-4  and control over all expenditures from the general house fund; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, The provisions of House Resolution 23, 73rd
    1-6  Legislature, authorize the Committee on House Administration to pay
    1-7  for all reasonable and necessary expenses incurred by the members
    1-8  of the house when the legislature is not in session; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, House Resolution 23, 73rd Legislature, specifies for
   1-10  each month of fiscal year 1993 an amount to be allocated to each
   1-11  member of the house for staff, office supplies, office equipment,
   1-12  postage, printing, telephone, travel, and other reasonable and
   1-13  necessary expenses and the maximum salary for an employee of an
   1-14  individual member, a committee employee, or any person, firm, or
   1-15  corporation employed by a committee or subcommittee; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, It is necessary that provision be made for such
   1-17  allocation of funds for office expenses and for salaries of such
   1-18  employees for the duration of the 73rd Legislature; now, therefore,
   1-19  be it
   1-20        RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
   1-21  Legislature, That the Committee on House Administration be hereby
   1-22  authorized to establish, for the fiscal year beginning September 1,
   1-23  1993, and thereafter during the 73rd Legislature, the monthly
   1-24  allocation for members' office expenses and the maximum monthly
    2-1  salary for employees of individual members and employees of
    2-2  committees and subcommittees; and, be it further
    2-3        RESOLVED, That the Committee on House Administration be
    2-4  authorized to adjust these amounts from time to time as
    2-5  circumstances may require.
