By: Hilderbran H.R. No. 739 73R11206 SDU-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor 1-2 L. D. Brinkman, a longtime Hill Country resident who has made 1-3 invaluable contributions to the Brangus breeding industry; and 1-4 WHEREAS, Together with his brother, Glenn, this highly 1-5 regarded gentleman became actively involved in the Brangus breeding 1-6 industry in November 1968, and throughout the ensuing years, his 1-7 hard work and dedication have kept him on the leading edge of this 1-8 highly competitive business; and 1-9 WHEREAS, A forerunner in the development of bull syndication, 1-10 Brink's Brangus celebrates its 25th anniversary in Brangus breeding 1-11 this year; and 1-12 WHEREAS, Mr. Brinkman was instrumental in starting America's 1-13 Brangus Exposition and Futurity to show the animals and to 1-14 introduce interested young people and their families to the breed, 1-15 and he also played a vital role in the formation of the Hill 1-16 Country Brangus Breeders Association; and 1-17 WHEREAS, In recognition of his exceptional contributions, the 1-18 1993 America's Brangus Exposition and Futurity will be dedicated to 1-19 Mr. Brinkman, and it is indeed fitting that the Texas House of 1-20 Representatives join with the colleagues and many friends of this 1-21 distinguished Texan in praising his outstanding record of 1-22 achievement; now, therefore, be it 1-23 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas 1-24 Legislature hereby honor L. D. Brinkman for his many exemplary 2-1 contributions to the Brangus breeding industry in Texas and extend 2-2 to him sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness in 2-3 the future; and, be it further 2-4 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-5 prepared for Mr. Brinkman as an expression of high regard by the 2-6 Texas House of Representatives.
