                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor
    1-2  Virginia Steenson for her outstanding contributions to the citizens
    1-3  of Richardson as a dedicated civic leader; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, This admirable woman has consistently set an
    1-5  outstanding example for others through a strong foundation of good
    1-6  citizenship, offering her talents for service on numerous
    1-7  committees, including the Richardson Park Board, the Richardson
    1-8  City Charter Committee, the Richardson Women's Club, and the Dallas
    1-9  County Courthouse "Blue Ribbon" Committee; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, An active grass-roots supporter of the Republican
   1-11  Party in Richardson and Dallas County for three decades, she has
   1-12  represented the Eighth Senate District on the State Republican
   1-13  Executive Committee since 1982 and currently contributes her time
   1-14  as a local precinct chairwoman; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, In all aspects of her life, Virginia Steenson has
   1-16  demonstrated exemplary leadership, commitment, and dedication to
   1-17  others; a woman of exceptional accomplishments, she is indeed
   1-18  deserving of our highest praise and recognition for her continuing
   1-19  contributions in this regard; now, therefore, be it
   1-20        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
   1-21  Legislature hereby commend Virginia Steenson for her many
   1-22  significant contributions to the betterment of her community; and,
   1-23  be it further
   1-24        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-1  prepared for Ms. Steenson as an expression of high regard by the
    2-2  Texas House of Representatives.
