H.R. No. 799 R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Capitol nurse Tim Flynn has faithfully served the 1-2 members of this chamber throughout the 73rd Texas Legislature, and 1-3 his efforts have ensured the health and safety of legislators and 1-4 Capitol visitors during this session; and 1-5 WHEREAS, In this vital position, Mr. Flynn assumed 1-6 responsibility for stocking supplies, maintaining records, and 1-7 coordinating the introduction of each physician of the day in the 1-8 house and senate chambers; because a different physician 1-9 volunteered for this service each day, this dedicated nurse ensured 1-10 that the continuity and quality of medical care available to 1-11 legislators met the highest standards of the health care 1-12 profession; and 1-13 WHEREAS, When the legislature is not in session, Mr. Flynn 1-14 works as a medical analyst for the Texas Department of Human 1-15 Services; one of his many duties in this position is to facilitate 1-16 the adjudication process for the department's appeal cases, and in 1-17 this capacity he has earned the admiration and respect of many of 1-18 his colleagues for his medical expertise, efficiency, 1-19 professionalism, and insight; and 1-20 WHEREAS, A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Mr. Flynn was 1-21 graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor of 1-22 science degree in nursing; he and his wife, Rebecca, have been 1-23 blessed with a daughter, eight-year-old Jessica, and the family 1-24 enjoys spending time outdoors on camping, fishing, and wind surfing 2-1 excursions; and 2-2 WHEREAS, This esteemed gentleman has made numerous friends in 2-3 the Capitol, where he is regarded as a man of honor, integrity, and 2-4 compassion; industrious, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable in 2-5 the medical field, Mr. Flynn has brought considerable skill and 2-6 talent to his post as Capitol nurse and has admirably fulfilled the 2-7 duties of that position; now, therefore, be it 2-8 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas 2-9 Legislature hereby express sincere appreciation for the services of 2-10 Tim Flynn as Capitol nurse and extend to him warmest best wishes 2-11 for many more years of continued success; and, be it further 2-12 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-13 prepared for Mr. Flynn as an expression of high regard by the Texas 2-14 House of Representatives. 2-15 House of Representatives. 2-16 Black 2-17 H.R.
