R E S O L U T I O N
1-1 WHEREAS, Edolina "Tina" Rodriguez has given generously of her
1-2 time and talent as a staff support assistant to State
1-3 Representative Henry Cuellar, and her dedicated efforts have earned
1-4 her the respect and gratitude of her colleagues in that office; and
1-5 WHEREAS, In this role she has assisted staff members with
1-6 many vital responsibilities such as tracking legislation and
1-7 monitoring committee assignments; she also has been entrusted with
1-8 handling correspondence, constituent casework, and scheduling,
1-9 tasks that are essential to the operation of any legislative
1-10 office; and
1-11 WHEREAS, A graduate of Stroman High School in Victoria, she
1-12 studied medical laboratory technology at Austin Community College
1-13 before deciding to expand upon her business skills at Platt Career
1-14 School, where her diligent studies earned her a place on the dean's
1-15 list; and
1-16 WHEREAS, Mrs. Rodriguez worked as manager of AVS Food Service
1-17 in Austin for four years while pursuing her postsecondary
1-18 education; although her career and family keep her busy, she enjoys
1-19 spending her free time sewing, cooking, and reading; and
1-20 WHEREAS, Throughout her education and career, Mrs. Rodriguez
1-21 has enjoyed the love and support of her husband, Eduardo; their
1-22 19-year marriage has been blessed with three children, Edward
1-23 Ernest, Evonne Celeste, and Elisa Maria, all of whom have brought
1-24 great pride and joy to their parents; and
2-1 WHEREAS, Over the past year, Mrs. Rodriguez has distinguished
2-2 herself as a valued assistant to Representative Cuellar and his
2-3 staff; her tireless efforts on his behalf have helped to ensure the
2-4 smooth functioning of that office, thus enabling him to better
2-5 serve the needs of his constituents; now, therefore, be it
2-6 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
2-7 Legislature hereby commend Edolina "Tina" Rodriguez for her many
2-8 outstanding contributions to the Texas Legislature and extend to
2-9 her warmest best wishes for many more years of continued success;
2-10 and, be it further
2-11 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2-12 prepared for Mrs. Rodriguez as an expression of high regard by the
2-13 Texas House of Representatives.
