No. 858 R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor 1-2 Linda Lee Williams, who is retiring this year after a distinguished 1-3 career as a teacher with the Pearsall Independent School District, 1-4 drawing to a close an exemplary career in education that has 1-5 spanned nearly a quarter of a century; and 1-6 WHEREAS, An outstanding language arts teacher for the 1-7 district, Mrs. Williams has helped to instill in generations of 1-8 young students a greater understanding and appreciation of the 1-9 English language; over the course of her fine tenure, she has shown 1-10 consistent devotion to her students, offering extra assistance when 1-11 needed and taking special pride in the accomplishments of each 1-12 student; and 1-13 WHEREAS, With her rare talent for teaching, Mrs. Williams has 1-14 touched the lives of a great many people and her extraordinary 1-15 contributions to the schoolchildren of Texas indeed merit our 1-16 highest praise and recognition; now, therefore, be it 1-17 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas 1-18 Legislature hereby honor Linda Lee Williams on her 24 years of 1-19 exceptional service as an educator with the Pearsall Independent 1-20 School District and extend warmest best wishes to her for a happy 1-21 and productive retirement; and, be it further 1-22 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 1-23 prepared for Mrs. Williams as an expression of high regard by the 1-24 Texas House of Representatives. 2-1 Texas House of Representatives. 2-2 Nieto 2-3 H.R.
