R E S O L U T I O N
1-1 WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor
1-2 Patsy R. Edwards, who is retiring this year after a distinguished
1-3 career as a teacher with the Pearsall Independent School District,
1-4 drawing to a close an exemplary career in education that has
1-5 spanned 26 years; and
1-6 WHEREAS, An outstanding second grade teacher for the
1-7 district, Mrs. Edwards has helped to guide generations of students
1-8 through the fundamentals of reading, writing, and mathematics; over
1-9 the course of her fine tenure, she has shown consistent devotion to
1-10 her students, offering extra assistance when needed and taking
1-11 special pride in the accomplishments of each child; and
1-12 WHEREAS, With her rare talent for teaching, Mrs. Edwards has
1-13 touched the lives of a great many people, and her extraordinary
1-14 contributions to the schoolchildren of Texas indeed merit our
1-15 highest praise and recognition; now, therefore, be it
1-16 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
1-17 Legislature hereby honor Patsy R. Edwards on her 26 years of
1-18 exceptional service as an educator with the Pearsall Independent
1-19 School District and extend warmest best wishes to her for a happy
1-20 and productive retirement; and, be it further
1-21 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
1-22 prepared for Mrs. Edwards as an expression of high regard by the
1-23 Texas House of Representatives.
