                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, February 17, 1993, was indeed a special day for Gay
    1-2  Hobgood and Nolan Baade, for it was on this day that the happy
    1-3  couple became the proud parents of a charming baby girl, Amber
    1-4  Nicole; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, Born at St. David's Hospital in Austin, this welcome
    1-6  addition to the household weighed in at 7 pounds and 12 ounces and
    1-7  measured 19-1/2 inches, but the joy she has brought to all the
    1-8  members of her doting family is truly immeasurable; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, In addition to her loving parents, others who have
   1-10  been captivated by the new arrival include her maternal
   1-11  grandparents, Betty and Charles Hobgood, and her paternal
   1-12  grandparents, Lowetta and Harold Baade; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Amber's father, Nolan, is a well-known radio
   1-14  personality on an Austin station; her mother, Gay, is a longtime
   1-15  employee of former State Representative Charlie Evans, and
   1-16  Mr. Evans and his wife, Pat, also share in the family's happiness
   1-17  over this blessed event; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, Indeed, Amber Nicole Baade has brightened the lives
   1-19  of everyone around her, and it gives the members of this chamber
   1-20  great pleasure to welcome Amber into the world and to extend best
   1-21  wishes to her and to her family; now, therefore, be it
   1-22        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
   1-23  Legislature hereby officially welcome Amber Nicole Baade as a new
   1-24  citizen of Texas and extend warm congratulations to her parents,
    2-1  Gay Hobgood and Nolan Baade, on the birth of their daughter; and,
    2-2  be it further
    2-3        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-4  prepared for Amber and her parents as an expression of high regard
    2-5  by the Texas House of Representatives.
