H.R. No. 905
                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, Marisol Elizabeth Beltran, daughter of Robert Bond
    1-2  and Guadalupe Trejo Beltran, has reached a point in her young life
    1-3  where she has crossed the threshold of adulthood and left behind
    1-4  the vestiges of her childhood, an event marked by the Mexican
    1-5  American tradition of the quinceanera; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, Marisol's young life has been crowned with such
    1-7  monumental events as her baptism and first communion at St.
    1-8  Cecilia's Catholic Church, where she is a devout parishioner, and
    1-9  she has made such accomplishments as achieving the rank of honor
   1-10  student at Hotchkiss Montessori Academy and will enter her
   1-11  sophomore year at Arts Magnet High School where she also reached
   1-12  the status of honor student; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, Marisol has also been active in her community in the
   1-14  city of Dallas where she has volunteered for political campaigns,
   1-15  has given her assistance to Voz De Los Ancianos, a senior citizens'
   1-16  advocacy program, and has worked at Theater 3 as a stage hand; and
   1-17        WHEREAS, Marisol celebrated her quinceanera, the symbol of
   1-18  her passage from childhood into young womanhood, on the 29th day of
   1-19  May, 1993, when services were held at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church
   1-20  and festivities took place at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Oak
   1-21  Cliff; now, therefore, be it
   1-22        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas
   1-23  Legislature hereby congratulate Marisol Elizabeth Beltran on the
    2-1  occasion of her quinceanera; and, be it further
    2-2        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
    2-3  prepared as an expression of high esteem by the Texas House of
    2-4  Representatives.
