H.R. No. 908 R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Gloria Sifuentes has tirelessly devoted her talents 1-2 and energy to the field of public service to the State of Texas for 1-3 31 years; and 1-4 WHEREAS, This Strawn, Texas, native consistently has 1-5 demonstrated a desire to excel in her many endeavors, and her 1-6 determination in this regard was rewarded when she graduated from 1-7 Tarrant County Junior College with highest honors in 1982; and 1-8 WHEREAS, Ms. Sifuentes, who currently works as the 1-9 administrative assistant to State Representative Doyle Willis in 1-10 his Fort Worth district office, has maintained her exemplary record 1-11 of civic achievements while actively participating in worthy 1-12 activities such as being a member of All Saints Catholic Church, 1-13 Tarrant County Democratic precinct chairwoman, and a member of the 1-14 Tarrant County Democratic Club; and 1-15 WHEREAS, Extraordinarily active in community affairs, this 1-16 dynamic lady devotes much of her precious free time serving as a 1-17 volunteer worker in All Saints Elementary School and an alumnus 1-18 mentor for Trimble Tech High School; and 1-19 WHEREAS, Ms. Sifuentes also has gained experience and insight 1-20 into the political process as coordinator of the House Interim 1-21 Committee on Child Abuse and as a valued volunteer in campaigns for 1-22 Congressmen Jim Wright and Pete Geren; and 1-23 WHEREAS, Gloria Sifuentes has demonstrated a truly remarkable 2-1 level of commitment to public service and her significant 2-2 achievements in that regard merit special legislative recognition; 2-3 now, therefore, be it 2-4 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 73rd Texas 2-5 Legislature hereby honor Gloria Sifuentes for her legislative and 2-6 civic accomplishments and extend to her best wishes for continued 2-7 success in future years; and, be it further 2-8 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-9 prepared for Gloria Sifuentes as an expression of high regard from 2-10 the Texas House of Representatives. 2-11 the Texas House of Representatives. 2-12 Willis 2-13 H.R.
