Chapter 35, Code of Criminal Procedure, is 1-21 amended by adding Article 35.29 to read as follows: 1-22 Art. 35.29. PERSONAL INFORMATION ABOUT JURORS. Information 1-23 collected by the court or by a prosecuting attorney during the jury 1-24 selection process about a person who serves as a juror, including 1-25 the juror's home address, home telephone number, social security 1-26 number, and other personal information, is confidential and may not 1-27 be disclosed by the court, the prosecuting attorney, the defense 1-28 counsel, or any court personnel except on application by a party in 1-29 the trial to the court in which the person is serving or did serve 1-30 as a juror. On a showing of good cause, the court shall permit 1-31 disclosure of the information sought. 1-32 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 1993. 1-33 SECTION 3.
