1-21 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
1-22 AN ACT
1-23 relating to determination of demand for and volume of gas in a
1-24 reservoir.
1-25 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-26 SECTION 1. Section 86.085, Natural Resources Code, is
1-27 amended to read as follows:
1-28 Sec. 86.085. DETERMINATION OF DEMAND AND VOLUME. On or
1-29 before the 25th <20th> day of each month, the commission, after
1-30 notice and hearing, shall determine:
1-31 (1) the lawful market demand for gas to be produced
1-32 from each reservoir during the following month; and
1-33 (2) the volume of gas that can be produced without
1-34 waste from the reservoir and each well in the reservoir during the
1-35 following month.
1-36 SECTION 2. The importance of this legislation and the
1-37 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
1-38 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
1-39 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
1-40 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,
1-41 and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its
1-42 passage, and it is so enacted.
