1-21 AN ACT
1-22 relating to the inclusion of mountain lion in the definition of
1-23 game animals.
1-24 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-25 SECTION 1. Subsection (a), Section 63.001, Parks and
1-26 Wildlife Code, is amended to read as follows:
1-27 (a) The following animals are game animals: mule deer,
1-28 white-tailed deer, pronghorn antelope, desert bighorn sheep,
1-29 mountain lion, gray or cat squirrels, fox squirrels or red
1-30 squirrels, and collared peccary or javelina.
1-31 SECTION 2. The importance of this legislation and the
1-32 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
1-33 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
1-34 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
1-35 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,
1-36 and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its
1-37 passage, and it is so enacted.
