                                 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
    1-1                                AN ACT
    1-2  relating to the statutory probate courts of Bexar County.
    1-3        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
    1-4        SECTION 1.  Section 25.0173(o), Government Code, is amended
    1-5  to read as follows:
    1-6        (o)  Notwithstanding the local rules adopted under Section
    1-7  74.093, the county clerk shall docket all mental health matters and
    1-8  every fifth probate case in the County Court at Law No. 1 and
    1-9  Probate Court of Bexar County, and shall docket in equal numbers
   1-10  all other <even-numbered> probate cases in Probate Court No. 2 and
   1-11  <all odd-numbered probate cases in> Probate Court No. 1.
   1-12        SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 1993.
   1-13        SECTION 3.  The importance of this legislation and the
   1-14  crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
   1-15  emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
   1-16  constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
   1-17  days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended.
