No. 903 By: Rosson 1-23 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1-24 AN ACT 1-25 relating to an exemption from the examination required by the Texas 1-26 Board of Architectural Examiners. 1-27 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: 1-28 SECTION 1. Section 7, Chapter 478, Acts of the 45th 1-29 Legislature, Regular Session, 1937 (Article 249a, Vernon's Texas 1-30 Civil Statutes), is amended by adding Subsection (d) to read as 1-31 follows: 1-32 (d) After paying a fee equal to the examination fee and 1-33 filing any forms required by the Board, an applicant who presents 1-34 to the Board a diploma from and, prior to June 15, 1957, is a 1-35 graduate of a recognized university or college of architecture 1-36 approved by the Board shall be granted a certificate to practice 1-37 architecture in this State. 1-38 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 1993, and 1-39 applies only to applications filed with the Texas Board of 1-40 Architectural Examiners on or after the effective date of this Act. 1-41 SECTION 3. The importance of this legislation and the 1-42 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an 1-43 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the 1-44 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several 1-45 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended. 1-46 * * * * * 1-47 Austin, 1-48 Texas 1-49 March 31, 1993 1-50 Hon.
