   1-21                         A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
   1-22                                AN ACT
   1-23  relating to an exemption from open meeting requirements for
   1-24  confidential matters of The Finance Commission of Texas and the
   1-25  State Banking Board.
   1-26        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
   1-27        SECTION 1.  Subsection (t), Section 2, Chapter 271, Acts of
   1-28  the 60th Legislature, Regular Session, 1967 (Article 6252-17,
   1-29  Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes), is amended to read as follows:
   1-30        (t)  This Act does not require the Credit Union Commission,
   1-31  The Finance Commission of Texas, or the State Banking Board to
   1-32  deliberate in open meetings regarding matters made confidential by
   1-33  law.
   1-34        SECTION 2.  The importance of this legislation and the
   1-35  crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
   1-36  emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
   1-37  constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
   1-38  days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended,
   1-39  and that this Act take effect and be in force from and after its
   1-40  passage, and it is so enacted.
