1-19 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
1-20 AN ACT
1-21 relating to legal holidays and alternative legal holidays for banks
1-22 or trust companies.
1-23 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-24 SECTION 1. Article 10a, Chapter IX, The Texas Banking Code
1-25 (Article 342-910a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes), is repealed.
1-26 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 1993.
1-27 SECTION 3. The importance of this legislation and the
1-28 crowded condition of the calendars in both houses create an
1-29 emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
1-30 constitutional rule requiring bills to be read on three several
1-31 days in each house be suspended, and this rule is hereby suspended.
